Formula Vee Thrills Large Kyalami Crowd

The first Hankook Formula Vee race, since the major upgrade of the Kyalami circuit, produced two thrilling action-packed races. Pole position went to Siyabonga Mankonkwana (Cervinia Investments Rhema 2), ahead of Ross Rugheimer (Rhema 2), Jaco Schriks (Cubed Coatings /Bean Child Coffee’s Rhema 2), reigning Champion Gert Van Den Berg (BP Nantes Motors Rhema 2), Peter Hills (LubeFusion Rhema 2) and Lushen Ramchander (TRA Forza), the six of them qualifying within one second of one another.

Round 6 – Midvaal Formula Vee scorcher

On Saturday 14 October, Midvaal hosted the sixth round of the 2017 SA National Formula Vee Championship. The little 1400cc single seaters put on the closest racing of the day and lapped the Midvaal circuit in the fastest lap times of the day at 1min11,445seconds.

The last time the Championship Midvaal was in 2015 and it was raced clockwise. Now it was run anti-clockwise.

Round 5 – Schriks Dominates

The Fifth Round of the 2017 SA National Formula Vee Championship, took place at Killarney in Cape Town. This was the return visit, after a very successful race meeting, held in 2016.
